Located 30 miles north of downtown Dallas, Omni PGA Frisco Resort is the largest resort currently in development in the country. Opening spring 2023, the resort will feature 500 guest rooms and suites, 10 four-bedroom ranch houses, three pools, including an adults-only rooftop infinity pool, a destination spa, Lounge by Top Golf, and over 127,000-square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting and event space. An expansive retail and entertainment district will feature dining, shopping and an outdoor stage set to be activated for concerts and outdoor programming. The Resort will become a leading destination for golf providing an unparalleled experience for those who are advanced players, new to the game, and everything in between. The resort will offer 46 holes of golf designed by Beau Welling and Gil Hanse, including two 18-hole championship golf courses, a lighted 10-hole short course, and a lighted two-acre putting green.

Job Description
Omni PGA Frisco Resort is now hiring an Assistant Director of Engineering (Repairs and Maintenance). This role will provide technical and administrative assistance to the Director of Engineering and assist the Director of Engineering in the operational aspect of the department.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our founding team as the Omni PGA Frisco Resort prepares for its inaugural opening next spring! This role is anticipated to start in early 2023.

Responsibilities
Assist the Director of Engineering in the full upkeep of the preventative maintenance, including the keeping of logs on work done, scheduling and the assignment of projects and other related tasks.
Assist the Director of Engineering in the procurement of supplies and the issuance of purchase orders.
Review work orders and assign work by priorities.
Maintain up-to-date inventories of heat, light & power and repair and maintenance supplies.
Respond to guest requests.
Work with the Engineering staff on a shift basis and coordinates their activities.
Assume the full responsibility for the Engineering Department in the absence of the Director of Engineering.
Have a thorough understanding of Omni’s fire alarm procedures and emergency evacuation.
Must be or become familiar with Omni’s Systems and Services procedures.
Administer, assign, and update status of PM program for all mechanical equipment, laundry, kitchen, boiler room, A/H’s, fans and heat pumps.
Administer, assign, and update status of PM program for guestroom (PRP and CARE), public spaces and pools.
Support engineering staff as needed.
Complete weekly payroll using Kronos.
Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures;report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions;complete safety training and certifications.
Follow all company policies and procedures;ensure clean uniform and professional personal appearance;maintain confidentiality of proprietary information;protect company assets.
Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others;support team to reach common goals;listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees.
Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards;identify, recommend, develop, and implement new ways to increase organizational efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, and/or cost-savings.

Qualifications
Must have extensive HVAC, electrical, and mechanical experience. Must obtain CPO and OSHA certifications upon hire.
Must have high level knowledge in plumbing, ice machines, and chillers.
Must have high level knowledge in fire systems.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Must be able to work a flexible schedule to include nights, weekends and holidays.
5 years+ of hotel engineering experience.
Previous experience at a resort hotel preferred.
Experience managing a crew of 10 or more.
Knowledgeable in the safe use for: power tools, general engineering tools and equipment, pool pumps and filtration systems.
Knowledgeable in ADA requirements, power, water and sewer distribution, blue prints, fire codes and fire protection.
Demonstrates excellent leadership, organizational and communication skills.
Move, bend, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects of moderate to heavy weight without assistance. Stand or walk for an extended period or for an entire work shift.
Responds quickly to sounds. Moves safely over uneven terrain. Identify and respond to dangerous situations. Safely climb ladders while carrying moderate to heavy weight. Wear personal protective equipment when required.
Interior of hotel, clubhouse, and in all areas of the resort. Exposure to extreme hot and cold temperatures.
Exterior of hotel with exposure to weather conditions.
Exposure to various hazardous chemicals.
