SUMMARY
As an entry-level Feild Technician, you will assist the Programmer and Field Technicians with their
responsibilities that include design, review and implementing building automation projects. Day
to day tasks will be determined by the specific requirements of each project.

REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES
Other functions may be assigned.
You will be assisting the BAS Technicians with the following tasks:
 Complete typical installation of software programming
 Provides jobsite coordination for panel and field device physical locations
 Manages and completes the loading, device verification, and commissioning of all system
controllers as required
 Cable/conduit installation including wiring tagging and terminations as required
 Effectively communicates the status of projects to management for the purpose of managing costs,
billings and collections on assigned projects
 Supports project transition from installation to service
 Responsibilities may include support of the service department for emergency service calls and/or
programming support
 Appropriately record work performed and complete required documentation
 Technical support for customers and other mechanical technicians
 Respond to emergency service calls
 Conduct Factory Authorized equipment startups and warranty service.
 Perform factory required retrofits
 Conduct customer training sessions on how to operate and maintain equipment
 Diagnose diverse service issues, obtain any replacement parts, and calibrate the system to
manufacturers recommendations

 Responsible for jointly planning annual development and training plan with the supervisor
 Requires critical thinking skills, self-motivation, and decisive judgment
 Mechanical and/or electrical aptitude, excellent problem-solving skills, critical thinking skills and
decisive judgment skills are a must
 Good analytical skills and attention to detail with the ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans,
manuals, electrical diagrams, and control sequences

EDUCATION andor EXPERIENCE
High School or GED
Desired Degrees: Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering and Computer Science
Excellent computer skills and intimate familiarity with MS-Office products (Word, Excel).
Effective communication skills both written and verbal

Individual must possess a valid driver’s license in good standing
